  1. 1. Sedimentary rocks are formed when tiny things called sediments form together. Sediments are made when rivers erode larger rocks. The rivers carry away the particles into the ocean. Then after years of of pressure they form sedimentary rocks.

    2. There are many types of sedimentary rocks but I'll narrow it down to a few. One type is Halite. Halite has a dark color it looks like it has crystals coming out of it. Another type of rock is Sandstone. Sandstone has a reddish color it has tiny ripples in it. It is made from quartz.

    3. There are many uses for sedimentary rocks but I can't say all of them. Limestone is used to make chalk so kids can be creative. Bituminous coal is used to power our electric objects. Shale is used to make some dishes.

    Self Reflection:
I really liked this activity because I learned more about sedimentary rocks. I learned that a mountain used to be several times taller. I liked working in groups because it gives us opportunity to communicate with each other.
